Harry and Meghan’s Enchanting Halloween Tradition: Royal Trick-or-Treating with Little Archie and Lilibet

In a heartwarming Halloween tradition, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were spotted taking their adorable children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, trick-or-treating in their hometown of Montecito, California. The couple’s low-key and charming family outing was captured in a candid image shared on social media.

Meghan, exuding effortless chic, donned denim jeans, a black T-shirt, and a matching hat, while Harry sported a grey top, navy trousers, and a black cap. The doting mother held Princess Lilibet, who looked precious in a pink ensemble, while Archie held hands with his father. Little Archie clutched a pumpkin-themed basket, eagerly anticipating Halloween treats.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently enjoyed a family outing for Halloween in their Montecito, California neighborhood with their children, 4-year-old Archie and 2-year-old Lilibet. In a video clip that surfaced on social media, Archie was dressed as a skeleton, while Lilibet wore a pink costume. Meghan and Harry chose not to wear costumes and were casually dressed in dark T-shirts, blue jeans, sneakers, and baseball caps. Harry did briefly dress up his outfit by holding Lilibet’s pumpkin-shaped basket while she took a break from trick-or-treating. Meghan previously shared in 2021 that their children had a meltdown during a past Halloween, with Archie being a dinosaur for only a short time, and Lilibet dressed as a skunk from “Bambi.”

They reminisced about a memorable Halloween party during the first episode of their Netflix docuseries in December 2022. The couple shared how they, along with Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, enjoyed a Halloween bash in Toronto back in October 2016 before their relationship was made public.

Meghan recalled that the party had a post-apocalyptic theme, and while the exact location of the event remains a mystery, pictures of the fun night were snapped both at home and in a local club. In one snapshot, the royal couple can be seen posing with Princess Eugenie and Jack, along with their friend Markus Anderson.

Meghan shared that for the Halloween bash, Harry donned a gas mask, and she pulled her hat low over her face. Her outfit included a skimpy crop top and dark jean shorts, while both she and Eugenie sported dramatic dark eyeliner. Harry, true to the spirit of the occasion, concealed his face behind a skeleton mask.

The couple affectionately recalled that they “wanted to pull the pin on the fun grenade,” and Meghan expressed, “His cousin Eugenie, her boyfriend Jack, and my friend Markus were there too. It was so great, just silly fun.”

Meghan had previously discussed this memorable night on the Ellen DeGeneres show, mentioning that the four of them, including Harry, snuck out in Halloween costumes for one final night of fun before their relationship became public. It was an unforgettable post-apocalyptic-themed evening, allowing them to enjoy some lighthearted moments in anonymity.

This charming glimpse into the royals’ Halloween traditions reminds us that even the Duke and Duchess of Sussex know how to have some spooky fun with their little ones while cherishing past memories of their unique Halloween escapades.
